Top Spots in Chattanooga For Father’s Day Brunch

We think Dads are pretty cool. Growing up the good ones taught us how to fix stuff, deal with others, handle money and more importantly how to treat a lady. Treat Dad right this Sunday by taking him to an amazing Father’s Day brunch. Besides, it’s too hot out for him to slave over the grill on his special day. Take him out for brunch. Here are some of our top picks for Father’s Day Weekend.

Oh, and that tie you picked out for him…take it back and get him some Hoff Sauce. It’s made right here in Chattanooga. We guarantee it’ll knock his socks off.

212 Market

Sunday brunch all day featuring their award winning Farm 2 Table menu. In addition to their regular menu the following brunch specials geared for Dad are being served:

  • Simpson Farm Sirloin Steak Bennie (marinated grilled steak, Beulah Farm poached eggs, hollandaise, toasted English muffins, brunch potatoes, fruit and veggies)
  • Steelhead Salmon (pinot noir sauce, yukon golds and skinny green beans)

Make dad a happy camper if you take him at night because the dinner specials include:

  • Eagle’s Rest Longhorn Steer Burger (Burton’s kudzu-fed beef, house pimento cheese, bacon)
  • Rack of Lamb (Dijon crusted, polenta cake and red pepper sauce)
  • Choose from Strawberry Balsamic Sorbet, Rustic Apple Tart or Boozy Ice Cream for dessert

Beast & Barrel

Discounts and whiskey for Dad are the feature of the day. Dad enjoys 10% off his meal when the family comes along. For those who rather surprise Dad at home, they’re offering 10% off all takeout orders over $35.

Get Dad the Merica’ (2 eggs, Beast bacon, house sausage, local grits or smoked potatoes and a biscuit) and tell him how great he and our country are. And don’t forget the House Hash (pastrami tossed with smoked potatoes, onions, peppers topped with poached egg) — a sure table pleaser.

Throw out the expression “don’t drive dad to drink” on his special day. In fact,  B&B is encouraging it by bringing in some special hooch like a 110 proof Pikesville Rye Whiskey. Feed it to him anyway he likes it: Manhattans, Old Fashions or neat. He’ll love you for it.

 FEED

FEED Dad’s need for good food. In addition to their normal brunch fare Chef Charlie and crew will be serving up Dad-geared specials like lightly smoked prime rib, grilled shrimp, and a Berkshire pork porterhouse which sounds delicious. Topped with peach bbq sauce and served with chicken fried potato cakes and cooked greens, the pork sounds amazing!

STIR

Normally, they don’t take reservations for brunch, but this weekend and especially for Dads they’re doing just that. Better hurry and reserve now though. We hear they’re filling up fast. Steak & Eggs is a new addition to the menu. NY strip, poached egg, roasted tomatoes, served over grilled sourdough toast points, breakfast potatoes and stone ground grits. Yum!

The Bitter Alibi

The boys over at the BA tell us they scored a cache of local produce so to celebrate Dad they’re bringing back their Summer Squash Steak & Eggs Special. We haven’t tried it (yet), but if it’s on par like The Seoul Train you can be sure it’s spectacular.

Wash it down with a Wakin’ Bacon (whiskey, OJ, honey, maple syrup with bacon garnish) and score meaty points with Daddio.

Embargo 62

In addition to their cantina menu, this Cuban hotspot is featuring a 12 oz Certified Angus Beef Ribeye, Congri (Cuban black beans and rice cooked together) and mixed veggies for $23 all weekend. Oye! Treat Dad right by ordering him a Cuba Libre while he’s waiting on his steak.

Rodizio Grill

Go primal and take Dad to Rodizio’s BBQ Fest. $34.99 per person for the Full Rodizio. In addition to the full dinner rotation of grilled meats choose from BBQ brisket, slow cooked BBQ ribs, BBQ chicken, macroni, cornbread, baked beans and fresh watermelon. And the Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar is available from 11am-3pm.

If that’s not enough, every “Dad” will receive a special gift after their meal. We’re not exactly sure what it is, but the above-mentioned meat makes it worth the trip.

FIVE Bar

Don’t want to confuse dad with so many menu choices? Head over to FIVE where he’ll have..count ’em…five options to choose from. But these are five mighty fine options. Check out the shrimp & grits (Shelton Farms white grits, blackened Gulf shrimp flown in fresh, Conechuh sausage and goat cheese)

Throw in some live jazz, a Bloody Mary Bar, mimosa pitchers and you’ve got yourself a party any dad would enjoy.
